Overview:

Rainstorm EP is a wistful poem to found lost things and rainy nights, the love child of a music box and snowglobe. As much an interactive album as a game, Rainstorm EP invites you to explore a tiny world and idly listen to what you find there. The experience was inspired by the tranquility found during dusk rainstorms and the warmth of old analog technology.

This project was a collaboration between Grizz Pierce & Jakey Mumfie.

Features:

• Featuring 9 original songs by Jakey Mumfie, which, like long forgotten cassettes, were mostly just laying around in their hard drive
• Maneuver the view of a tiny pixelated cityscape diorama in a constant state of raininess and nighttime
• Investigate the objects strewn about the street corner to discover playable audio cassettes
• Control an in-game cassette player to listen to the tapes you find
• Listen to the interactive ambiance of a tiny slice of city at night
• Designed to function as a desktop widget, with minimalist casual interactions, a small fixed-size window, and a pleasant audio experience
• Plus, a digital clock to check the time!
